First day of school 2012
As of yesterday, all three of my children are in school full day.
Greg goes to a year round school, and went back two weeks ago.
Before you feel too sorry for him going to school year round, know that he has a week off in August, a week off in September, two weeks off in October, one week off in November, a week off in December, two weeks off in January, five days off in February, a week off in March, two weeks off in April, only one wee long weekend in May, and is done mid-June. So...a year round school may not be your first choice if you are a working parent.
Peter and Princess started school yesterday.
Monday evening Peter was, for the second year in a row, surprised and dismayed to find that school is a ongoing daily commitment, and that he is expected to go every day. "What? No! No! I only wanted to go one day! I'm not going AGAIN!"
I was worried that Princess would be upset, seeing as I have never ever dropped her off anywhere and left. However, she barely gave me a kiss and waltzed off to color with markers.
I may have been a wee bit neurotic in the "here is what Peter can and cannot eat, if he has a reaction you must do a, b, c, etc." I cried a wee bit after I left. Then I came home, ate some cookies, read the internet in peace for four hours, went for an hour long walk, and decided I was not all that upset at being home by myself.

Congrats on surviving your first day with all the kids in school.
Oh mercy, I imagine it will be a glorious and soul crushing day when both of my children are in school. I have 1 more year to go and I admit, I am looking forward to it!
Awww, Peter looks so old!!!
Aw, just look at those eager back to school cherubs!
Also - home by yourself?! How does that feel again???
(I'm about to find out in a few weeks when mine starts nursery school; I predict some secret tears amidst the relief /cookie eating too.)
Loved that excitement of the first day--but glad it's still a few weeks away for us! And, it's not quite as exciting as they get older. Thought you might enjoy this for sneak peak at the middle school years: http://intertidalyears.wordpress.com/2011/09/06/day-1-grade-8/ :-) (From my old blog)
lisa - your kiddos are the cutest!!!
