Random musings
You may (or may not) have noticed that I uninstalled the Disqus comment system. Some people had trouble commenting with it, and I didn't like how I could no longer see links to commenters blogs, so, begone with that. Any other thread systems out there for Blogger that I don't know about? I did enjoy the thread commenting system, but I also like being able to respond directly. (If you haven't linked your blogger account to your email so I can respond directly to your comment, go here for instructions.)

Me: Lets do something fun today after school!
Greg: No.
Me: Ok, I'll think of something fun to do, and you'll just have to take your chances that its something you like.
Greg: Don't think of homework.

Super Peter made an appearance with his powerful Thor Hamma Whamma. Sadly, his nemesis Nonno had to suffer the Non-hero-specific Turquoise Cape of Indignity with a nerf-less nerf gun.

Princess is potty trained (during the day; not quite at night yet). I am thisclose to not having ANY children in diapers. Its been seven years of nonstop diapering around here.
On a related note, I am debating putting Princess in a toddler bed. The boys were in their cribs till they were four, but the boys also weren't potty-trained till they were four. Princess is potty-trained even though she's not yet three, and when she wakes up she is dry, but then she pees Lake Michigan in her crib. Every morning. No diaper can contain her.
Putting Princess in a toddler bed will let her get out of bed and go potty. Or, what I am afraid will happen, she will come into my bed at 2 am, and pee Lake Michigan in MY bed when she wakes up in the morning.

While I am thrilled that Princess is nearly out of diapers, I am not as thrilled at what that means. Everything is changing, as usual. No more diapers. Using a toddler bed means I no longer have use for (or a place to put) a crib. The kids are also getting too big for the double stroller. My oldest child is riding a bike without training wheels. My babies are growing up. An era is ending, and I am not good at goodbyes.
I love the people that they are now. But I miss the babies that they were then.
The days are long, but the years are short.

Can you get up and take her to the potty in the morning? Do that for two weeks, then put her in a proper bed (maybe without a frame for now so it is a good height for her.)
Toddler beds have alays seemed like a aste of money, to me--but then our kids slept in our bed for way too long.
we have a toddler bed that the older two used, so its free, plus it has the rail on the side so she doesn't fall out. Also, its a tiny room--I was trying to figure out how to orient the room with a twin bed in it, and I don't like any of the possible options, whereas the smaller toddler bed would work for now. Or I could just keep her in the crib a bit longer.
CRIB: My youngest was CLIMBNG out of the crib at age 2- and hence we had to deal with him climobing into oour bed every-single-night once we switched him to the big bed (he still does this BTW...not every single night anymore though)
despite that-I say go for it- just for the sake of not have to clean up wet sheets every mornng! Hallelujah to that!!
BABIES: Oh how I hear you on that one. I sat and watched old videos of them for hours the other night and it got me feeling quite sappy and nostalgic. Its amazing how much I miss the baby stage!!
I just switched to disqus and I like it so far. However, a friend just informed me that you can respond directly to comments in Blogger as well.
Go to Settings
Go to "Posts and Comments"
Go to "Comments" and "Comment Location" and select "Embed"
Make sure it's set to "Anyone" can comment
You should be able to respond directly below each comment (at least, my friend can now on her blogger blog - as I said, I'm still using Disqus, but I'm leaving this open as an option if I want to switch back).
Hope that helps!
Carrie, great info! I did all that, though (and consulted google, which also told me to do that), and it still isn't embedding the comments in a thread. Blarg :(
